The exhibition, subtitled The traces of folklore in the current design of the Visegrad countries, offers an unusual look of young artists from Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia at the traditional folklore. In broad spectrum and diversity of arts and crafts and original design, the exhibition project Folklore is Alive! offers common language of creative genius. The presentation should be an encouragement to young creators that their way of authorial and craft processing of quality material, creativity and connection with local traditions does not mean conservative return. Folksiness and expressions of vernacular art, an idyllic life with a high degree of exaggeration and humour and craft knowledge, may, without exaggeration, become an important asset in a globalized world.
