ALONG THE FIBRES – THE INTERFACE BETWEEN DESIGN AND CRAFTS

After Ľubica Poncik, the textile designer, the Centre for Folk Art Production presents Tibor Uhrín at the Government Office of Slovak republic. Exhibition of this renowned designer, who is known well known for his wood and metal design, will be opened by the Prime Minister Iveta Radičová on 2nd of May. The exhibition will be open to the public until 30 June 2011.

Exhibition of this renowned designer, who is known well known for his wood and metal design, will be opened by the Prime Minister Iveta Radičová on 2nd of May. The exhibition will be open to the public until 30 June 2011.

The exhibition entitled "Along the fibres” is an interface between craft and design. Works by Tibor Uhrín are committed to the traditions and folk art techniques while using modern technology. His works are often inspired by nature, example of which are boxes called Glamouries. The exhibition´s curator is Susanne Labudová.
