Exhibitions in ÚĽUV Design Studio Bratislava 2017

A Feeling for Felt

The exhibition “A Feeling for Felt” presents contemporary felt work. Five talented artists show that, as one of the oldest textile techniques, wool felting can also shape contemporary design. Hats, scarves, clothing accessories, tapestry and stand-alone items provide an inspiration for adding an individual touch to your wardrobe or home interior. The exhibition “A Feeling for Felt” will be open to the public in the ÚĽUV Design Studio from October 27th 2017 until January 26th 2018.

Until 26.1.2018

The INDIGO&DECORUM exhibition by Kateřina Žaluďová is proof that traditional craft techniques can be revived in contemporary fashion design. Her playful mastery of indigo fabrics and carefully finished leather can be admired in the ÚĽUV Design Studio at Dobrovičová 13 in Bratislava. The exhibition will last from 21.7. 2017 to 13.10. 2017.

Take a Seat

The Centre for Folk Art Production is opening a new exhibition entitled “Take a Seat”. Retro chairs by well-known Slovak designers from the 1950s to 1980s have come back to life in the hands of students from the studio of textile creation. The chairs’ original woven upholstery will take visitors back in time to period posters, advertising, the popular Favorit car and body paints from the Spartakiáda gymnastics events. The “Take a Seat” exhibition will be open to the public in the ÚĽUV Design Studio from April 26th to July 7th 2017.

Until 7.7.2017

The exhibition Desať (Ten) is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Studio of Product Design and the Studio of Digital Design, both from the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlin (The Czech Republic). Presenting a wide selection of the best student design works, the exhibition captures the many faces of young Czech design and it’s potential directions.
