Regional Centre of Crafts Bratislava
The Regional Centre of Crafts is an organic part of ÚĽUV. It is situated in the courtyard of ÚĽUV's seat at Obchodná 64 in Bratislava. The facilities include the ÚĽUV Craftschool with 5 workshops:
wood carving workshop - equipped with both contemporary tools and tools from old craft workshops. - weaving workshop - with loom and tools for further fine textile techniques.
- basket making workshop - working with wicker, straw and cornhusk.
- pottery workshop - complete production of ceramic products including hand turning on potter's wheel, decoration and firing in electric kiln,
- tinker's workshop for work with wire,
- library for studying literature and magazines,
- shop supplying craft supplies and materials,
- shop selling folk art products and folk costumes,
- restaurant.
The ÚĽUV Craftschool offers courses for adults and children, as well as sample work from the craftsmen in the five craft workshops throughout the whole year.
