Is there future for wool?
Sylvia Derňárová
Recently, sheep wool has been again in demand among creative individuals who like handicraft. As we wished to learn more about pros and cons of working with this soft, warm material, and introduce it to you, we addressed, through our regular public inquiry, several producers and designers, by coincidence all women, asking why they are so passionate about this material and why they like working with it. We wanted to learn what potential, in their view, wool has, and whether they believe this material could once again become part of our clothing and homes, taking into consideration its qualities but also the price of woolen products. You can read about what they feel in the current issue of our journal.
