Heritage of the Jurovatý family
Petra Kolláriková
When talking about wire, we could not possibly omit two significant personalities involved in the wire art craft – Ladislav Jurovatý († 89) and his son Ladislav Jurovatý (66). Working with wire has been, in their family, passed down from generation to generation. We talked with Ladislav Jurovatý Jr. about their precious heritage and the followers of the family tradition. He reminisced about his father’s work and talked about his own creative beginnings and early successes, either at home or abroad, mentioning the various exhibitions he had participated in.
