When Easter eggs are decorated by machine

Zuzana Strešnáková

When Easter eggs are decorated by machineFollowing an example from abroad, Juraj Mikláš, a graphic designer by profession, produced a robotic devise for decorating eggs, based on the design of a printer using microcomputer. There is an arm with a marker that draws desired motifs, its own weight pressing onto the egg and thus copying its uneven shape. The chosen motif is firstly created within a computer programme in a vector format, composed of lines. Then the devise redraws it onto the surface of the egg. Moreover, it is possible to transfer images and experiment with the colour of markers and eggs’ surfaces.
