Inspiration from paper by Silvia Fedorová
– object and jewellery Paper started to appear as an art medium predominantly at textile art events in the late 1970s. The focus on paper grew rapidly and, IAPMA (International Association of Hand Paper Makers and Paper Artists) was established in 1986 to organise 400+ artists, hold international exhibitions and congresses and publish materials. Paper won attention in our territory due to the international textile and paper symposiums in the town of Ružomberok organised in the 1990s. The Inspiration by paper was an exhibition that was held in Gallery X in Bratislava in June 2010 as an attempt to revive interest in paper as a unique art medium. Noted artists from several countries who attended the exhibition presented the wide range of creative approaches to paper to our people.
