Rings in Water 2008
The Centre for Folk Art Production in Bratislava announces the fifth annual, public, specified, two-round competition Rings in Water 2006. The objective of the competition is works of utilitarian art and art crafts implemented in final materials. The works should freely interpret traditional folk art but at the same time respect the endeavours of current design. Submissions can be formed from wood, metal, natural textiles, ceramics, glass, natural weaving materials, horn, leather or other materials.
The competition is intended for designers, artists, craftsmen, producers, students of high schools and universities, and other creators who comply with conditions of this competition. The competition is open to both individuals and teams.
Competition is divided into two sections: for adults and for secondary school students. Categories: metal; wood; textile; ceramics; free category.
