The 2007 Textile Miniature Biennial
by Adriena Pekárová
Activities performed by textile artists in the 1990s were important for the development of Slovak textile miniature. It was particularly annual exhibitions having been organised regularly by the TXT association in the Bratislava-based X Gallery since 1999. Regular meetings of Slovak and later on, foreign artists built the ground for continuous development. Presenting works on the “text” theme, year 2007 is the 9th year. The exhibition displayed works from 44 Slovak and 15 foreign visual artists, thus representing the most voluminous participation so far.
