Bobbin lace and jewellery
by Hany Kašičková
The author is a lecturer of wire jewellery courses for adult participants in the ÚĽUV in Bratislava. A similar course of jewellery production was opened in 2007 for lace makers with basic knowledge of bobbin-lacing. My home city (Bratislava) was identified as a topic, a brooch or tiepin was the jewellery type and textile bobbin lace as well as wire, coloured beads and other semifinished goods were the materials course attendees were assigned to work with. The selection presents works full of creative ideas and different ways of working with the topic.
