Rings in Water 2004
In a previous publication of RUD we showed you a summary of the results of this year’s Rings in Water competition together with information about the process of evaluating the competition. The formal announcement of the results and awards to the winning authors took place at the beginning of November. An exhibition of the awarded and selected works was installed in the newly opened Gallery of ÚĽUV. Part of the concept was also a large scale presentation depicting in picture and text an overview of the previous two years of the competition. A catalogue was prepared for the exhibition with pictures of the awarded works as well as all the works in the final round. Discussions with the authors offer a closer look at the awarded works, as well as opinions on the relationship between craft and design and tradition and the present.
