Benches
In 1980 ÚĽUV prepared research documentation on furniture from the Hont area. The research in 17 towns of the former Hont County (the districts of Zvolen, Levice, Žiar nad Hronom, Veľký Krtíš), strove to document as many variations and types of individual types of furniture, its construction as well as decoration. During the research, it was possible to document those types that were used and produced in the Hont area since the end of the nineteenth up to the middle of the twentieth century. The benches produced and used in this region are attractive with their decorative depiction of the backrests, which can be seen in the pictorial appendix.
