Želmíra Šípková: Etudes from Wood V.
The Wood and Forestry Museum in Zvolen annually hosts a competition for creators and producers of wooden objects under the name ‘Etudes from Wood’. Last years’, already in the fifth year, was focused on furniture accessories with the works of 41 authors from all over Slovakia. A pleasant surprise was the collection from the Secondary Forestry Industry School in Zvolen, which has been engaged in teaching the design and creation of furniture for only the last ten years, ambitiously and bravely entering this new territory. The committee gave special recognition for contributions to the education and secondary school development of utilitarian artists.
