Viera Kleinová: Exhibitions at the ÚĽUV Design Studio - Close Circle
Natural materials, classical craft techniques and procedures in the morphology of current utilitarian art and design are characterized by the works of the authors who presented their newest creations at ÚĽUV Design Studio in January. Dining accessories, interior elements from wood, metal, glass, textiles, ceramics and twigs were presented by designers who have already featured in ÚĽUV Design Studio. Their works closely follow the main focus of this specialized gallery – to promote and make visible utilitarian art, artistic crafts and design focusing on creative relationship to art and the domestic culture tradition. The exhibition was the first of a series of presentations whereby ÚĽUV Design studio hopes to promote work by designers, artists and craftsmen best reflecting this gallery’s philosophy. The follow-up event to this will be a collective exhibition of Slovak design and utilitarian art in Vienna during May this year.
