Forum of Design – and Craft
The Nitra Furniture and Living exhibition is the largest exhibition of the furniture industry in Slovakia. Through the seven-year tradition of the Design Forum exhibition, it also highlights shifts in design production in this branch. In contrast to the exhibition presentation of brand names, this exhibition focuses on the author – designer, it allows a view of the design-thinking of well-known creators as well as the direction of the younger generation. New for this year’s exhibition was a solitaire design competition with attributes expressed through the competition’s name: Funny, Simple, Wise. The award for the winners was implementation of their prototype, which was especially interesting for students with restricted access to production.
