Katarína Vošková: The memory of traditional building craft

An international workshop Materials, Techniques and Technologies in Historical Restoration took place in Banská Štiavnica in May 2002. Seminars on historical wooden and stone constructions and plastering were accompanied by examples of craft restorations on specific historical monuments in the historical centre of Banská Štiavnica: restoration of renaissance plaster, baroque gables, a baroque entrance gate and stone fence. All work was performed in accordance with results from previous research and according to restoration plans.
