Exhibition of results of 4th competition for crafts-oriented design and presentations of prize-winners
Opening of the exhibition: November 7, 2006 at 5 p. m. in the ÚĽUV Gallery, Obchodná 64 Bratislava The exhibition will last until 15th January 2007
Starting in 2000, ÚĽUV have organized a biennial competition supporting and promoting traditional crafts blended with contemporary design and provided young designers, craftsmen and artists with the opportunity to present their works.
The works are required to be creative interpretations of traditional folk arts and to comply with the requirements of contemporary design.
We divided competition entries into two sections, professionals and secondary schools students. In section A (professionals, university students) was three categories:
Dining and interior design, clothing accessories, jewellery, ÚĽUV souvenirs
The competition catalogue presents the best of the 2006 Rings in Water. All winning and shortlisted works are displayed in the ÚĽUV Gallery from 07 November 2006 until 15 January 2007.
